Arnold Schwarzenegger returns home after emergency open heart surgery

Terminator and Predator star Arnold Schwarzenegger had to undergo an open heart emergency surgery following complications with a routine operation. His spokesman says he is back home and in good spirits now.

“Update: @Schwarzenegger is headed home! He was released just before I sent that update and he is currently recovering at home in fantastic spirits,” his spokesman tweeted.

Emergency surgery

An open heart surgery was performed on him after his scheduled catheter valve replacement procedure could not be performed.

“I went to sleep expecting to wake up with a small incision and woke up with a big one – but guess what? I woke up, and that’s something to be thankful for,” Schwarzenegger tweeted from hospital.
