Actress Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade welcome baby girl
In what was the most guarded secret, Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade have announced thee arrival of their baby girl. This is via a surrogate.
This is the couple’s first child together. Dwayne has three sons from previous relationships.
“11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days,” the Being Mary Jane star wrote on Instagram. “Welcome to the party sweet girl!”
In the past, the couple Gabrielle has been very vocal about the struggles they have gone through in trying to conceive. She bore it all in her book, We’re Going To Need More Wine. “For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant. I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”
In August, she also opened up about her infertility struggles.
“Towards the end of my fertility journey I finally got some answers. Because everyone said, ‘You’re a career woman, you’ve prioritized your career, you waited too long and now you’re just too old to have a kid. And that’s on you for wanting a career. The reality is I actually have adenomyosis [a condition where the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus],” she said.
