Meghan Markle ready to hit the ground running
Upon being a member of the British royal family, Meghan Markle wants to hit the ground running. She wants to use her position to highlight the empowerment of women.
“For me it’s very important to want to hit the ground running… Even if it’s doing it quietly behind the scenes, which is what I’ve focused my energy on thus far.”
Markle said this while attending an event in London alongside Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Royal Foundation
This was the first joint engagement by the two couples. They celebrated the work of the Royal Foundation. The foundation supports charities including the Heads Together mental-health campaign and the Invictus Games for injured troops.
