Winnie Madikizela-Mandela admitted to hospital
Winnie Madikizela-Mandela was admitted to hospital on Sunday. She is being treated for a kidney infection, and is expected to make a full recovery.
Loss of appetite
Prior to her admission, Winnie had complained of a loss of appetite, also saying that one of her legs was painful. This is according to her spokesman.
Winnie was then taken to the Milpark Hospital.
“Upon admission‚ it was discovered that she had an infection that had affected her kidneys. She is expected to make a full recovery and should spend approximately a week at the hospital‚” said the spokesperson, in a statement issued on Tuesday night.
Winnie is being visited by friends and family, and is in high spirits.
