Moshe Ndiki Offers Help Through Initiative
Actor Moshe Ndiki is determined to see everyone go to school.
Last year, he tweeted that he would like to help one student with their tuition or registration fees in the new year.
However, after receiving numerous responses, Moshe could not say no. He thus started saving money from every gig he did and raised enough funds to pay three students’ registration fees, and help with one student’s tuition fees.
He shared his joy for the students on social media, and his followers could not hide their joy. They told him how proud they are of him and his #Makufundwe project.
Moshe is passionate about young people who want to study but have no means, and has thus always wanted to help.
“I didn’t even think too hard about it. I just knew that I wanted to help one student – but more came, so I saved a bit more and took some money from my savings as well,” he says.
“You know, it never made sense to me that certain students can’t get funding because of their marks. What about the students who worked really hard and got 50%? They also deserve to go to school. And for me, I don’t really care what you want to study or are studying, as long as you go to school I’ll try helping where I can.”
One of the students Moshe helped even tweeted an emotional message thanking him for his kindness.
