Kwaito Star Mavusana Dies On His Birthday

Mavusana, of the 90s group Oda Meeste, has died.

He was found dead by his brother Reason, on what would have been his 46th birthday.

The night before, Mavusana had performed with his brother the night before.

“He didn’t wake up in the morning. Wasn’t sick. He performed. And was on top of his game. We were sharing a room and he went back to the hotel to sleep. The girls came to sing happy birthday for him in the morning and we discovered he was no more,” Ndlovu, his brother said.

He is known for his hit song Summertime.

DJ Sbu and Masechaba Ndlovu paid tribute to him on social media.
