Nomalanga Shozi Speaks On Being New Face Of BET Africa

Actress Nomalanga Shozi was announced as the new face of BET in Africa. This means she will be the host of the new show titled BET Breaks.

She says she was in complete disbelief when she learned that she would be joining BET in Africa.

“Disbelief, shock. I was emotional and cried like a baby. I am grateful to Viacom International Media Networks Africa and BET in Africa for the opportunity and for trusting me with such a huge task,” explained Nomalanga.

“It’s a true honour,” she said.

BET Breaks is set to feature the latest gossip and entertainment news from both local and international celebrities.

“I am excited to broaden my horizons. To stretch my talent, and to see how I can take an international property like BET Breaks and to localize it to the African audience,” said Nomalanga.

“I want to show people my different side. South Africa only knows me as an actress and I want them to see my crazy funny side, people only know my serious side.”

“BET Breaks is going to give a fresh perspective, about African content. African and Africans will be first to hear about it. It is going to be really funny and interactive.”
