Bonang Matheba was to appear before the court yesterday, something that she was unable to do. A warrant of arrest has therefore been pushed to October 4th.
She is currently in New York and thus could not make it to appear in court. She was to answer questions on her personal and business tax returns.
Bonang’s warrant will remain ineffective if she appears in court before the date.
“The warrant for her arrest was benched. What a bench warrant simply means is that there is a warrant for her arrest but it is not effective immediately. It is being held over until the 4th (of October). If she does not appear on the 4th, it immediately becomes effective. She has to appear in person.”
