Vin Diesel in the country

Fast and Furious actor Vin Diesel is in the country for the shooting of a new film.

He shared a photo with Table Mountain in the background.

Diesel’s caption read: “Table Mountain… what a beautiful Country… All love.”

He is in the country to shoot new film, Bloodshot.

Filming is expected to begin today, with scenes to be filmed at the Cape Town Studios.

The film is adapted from Valiant Comics published in the 1990s.

It centres on Ray Garrison aka Bloodshot is a former soldier who is brought back from the dead through nano-technology and has all his memories erased. He is on a mission to seek revenge on those who turned him into an experiment.

Diesel will play the title character.

Other cast members include: Outlander’s Sam Heughan, Eiza González (Baby Driver), Johannes Haukur Johannesson (Game of Thrones), Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and Lamorne Morris (New Girl).
