Ladysmith Black Mambazo to honor Nelson Mandela
Award winning group Ladysmith Black Mambazo will honor Nelson Mandela at the State Theater in Tshwane.
Mandela had proclaimed the group South Africa’s cultural ambassadors to the world.
“We also wish to salute and dedicate this award to the founder, Professor Joseph Shabalala. He led this group from the dusty streets of Ladysmith to global prominence.”
Ladysmith Black Mambazo was founded in the early 1960s and this year they dropped their album Shaka Zulu Revisited.
Dates
Their tribute to Mandela will be on three consecutive days. 1st June at 20:00, 2nd June at 20:oo, and 3rd June at 15:00.Tickets cost R150 to R300.
