Roads cleared as Kenya’s richest singer cruises from JKIA to Westlands in a convoy
Akothee has won two international awards in the past few weeks; African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) for Best Female East Artist 2016 and African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA) for Best Female Artist 2016.
The two award galas were both held in America; Akothee made sure her arrival back to the country would be something to talk about.
Unlike Sauti Sol who had a ‘miniature’ arrival at JKIA after they won MTV award in South Africa, Akothee insisted on her arrival to mirror a foreign president visiting Nairobi.
Her entire family were at the airport to welcome her back; a convoy that included a stretch Audi limousine then escorted her to the city.
She got into the CBD through Kenyatta Avenue and made her way to Ronalo K’osewe restaurant (a premium Luo eatery) located along Kimathi Street.
From K’osewe, Akothee’s convoy made its way to Westlands, the upscale hotel of Sankara where she spent the night.
