Most people will agree Yahya Jammeh is the most cunning president; apparently he was asking to be given more time to cede power simply because he was busy looting.

Yahya Jammeh left Gambia for exile late last Saturday following a deal brokered by West Africa regional block ECOWAS that guaranteed him safe passage in exchange for relinquishing power peacefully.

Jammeh left Gambia for Guinea where he will temporarily stay before leaving for Equatorial Guinea where he will live in exile. He was flown in a private jet, VP-CBT Falcon.

The exiled Gambia ex president used to live big using state money, and he also made sure he went into exile having looted more than 11.4 million dollars or Kes 1.1 billion in cash (experts are still trying to evaluate the exact loss.)

Mai Ahmad Fatty, the adviser to new Gambian president, claims Jammeh plundered state coffers and shipped out luxury vehicles by cargo plane in the weeks before he left office. Jammeh owns some of the most expensive brands of vehicles; Rolls Royce, Mercedes, Cadillac SUVs etc.

Fatty disclosed that a Chadian cargo plane had transported luxury goods, including an unknown number of vehicles, out of the country on Jammeh’s behalf in his final hours in power.

Jammeh’s Rolls Royce which transported him to the airport before his departure was however left behind. Gambians posed on the Rolls Royce a day later as it remained parked at the airport.
