Radio Africa’s Carol Swings into Action after Losing Dad & Brother to Cancer
Last year around the same time, Radio Africa Group’s Carol Radull lost her father after a 9-year protracted battle with cancer.
But this wasn’t the first time the family had come face to face with a scourge that’s threatening to wipe out humanity on the face of the earth. In 1986, his brother was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a type of lymphoma, which is a cancer originating from white blood cells called lymphocytes) and passed away 7 months following misdiagnosis and delayed treatment.
It’s this together with the realization that about 70 Kenyans succumb to cancer every day that she’s taken it upon herself to put up a strong fight against this monster.
The sports journalist is now challenging the government to train more doctors and increase facilities and make them affordable to Kenyans. Radull is also challenging you to take charge of your health by reading up on cancer signs and symptoms as well as seeking a third opinion.
Here’s her message;

Separately she’s supporting the Relay For Life Cancer event next month that’s being hosted by the Kenya Cancer Association.
