Rabbit Shatters Record as He Records Entire Album in Just a Week!
Rabbit a.k.a. Kaka Sungura can only be likened to both Jay Z and legendary nineties rapper Tupac Shakur for the shortest time recording a full length album. Though work on ‘Holy Grail’ began in 2011 during sessions with The-Dream & Beyonce, the body of the album took only two weeks.
As for Tupac, his 9x Platinum album “All Eyez On Me”, is said to have been completed in 1 month. However, the two legendary rappers have nothing on Rabbit who is set to complete a massive 18-track album on Sunday!
Titled “Before The Success| Success Begins Now”, the album has reached yet another milestone; it will be the FIRST ever double disc in Kenya.
Rabbit has been recording the album since Monday at Niaje studios on a 7-day marathon recording session.
The album features leading African musicians, among them South Africa’s HHP; Tanzania’s Joh Makini, Stamina & Kala Jeremaya; Kenya’s Sanaipei Tande, Sudi Boy, Kanyeria, Kanana, Wangechi, Ayub Ogada and others.
The production team features talented producers like Kevin ProVoke, Kanyeria, Wawesh, Dillie, Maich Blaq, Tanzania’s Pancho Latino and Jafari.
The album is set to be launched officially on December 20th and will have only 400 tickets ONLY.
