Prominent Royal Media Services Presenter Bereaved
It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the death of Mzee Aloys Okinda. The late was Hot 96’s drive show, Hot Drive, presenter Chris Okinda.
Mr. Okinda passed on last Friday after a long battle with diabetes. He will be laid to rest on 2nd November Saturday in Busia County, Murende Sub-location, Madele village.
Announcing the sad news, the raspy-voiced radio host eulogized his father as a ‘fighter’;

Born 33 years ago, Chris is a prominent Kenyan actor, film director, producer, author and radio presenter. He featured in the Oscar award-winning movie The Constant Gardener working alongside Ralph Fiennes and White Maasai.
He is also the founder of the theatre film company Something Productions, which produces plays in his mother’s native Dholuo language, and is actively involved in the making of films and documentaries, the latter for both television and radio.
