Prison Warder Busted Impersonating Inspector General Arrested In Kisumu
A couple of years back, the whole nation was shocked by the queer case of Joshua Waiganjo.
This was a man who managed to impersonate an assistant police commissioner for quite sometime and even attended government and security meetings in the Rift Valley before being caught while preparing to board a police chopper off to another meeting. He has since been sentenced for impersonation but another seems to have learnt his trade.
This time it was a prison warder who decided to take on the identity of the Inspector General himself Joseph K Boinnet. He created a fake Facebook account of several senior people including one of the IG and even engaged gullible citizens acting as the IG.
He also had a phone number registered as Joseph K Boinnet and along with several convicts used the identity to cone and commit other forms of crime. Bevil Ogeda Ouko was a warder attached to Kibos Main Prison and was arrested while on paternity leave.
