President Uhuru’s Family To Buld Ultra Modern City Of Their Own On Their Vast Parcel Of Land Just Outside Nairobi (Photo)
Northlands is the name of the City the president’s family is building on an 11,000-acre farm along Eastern bypass.
It’s said Northlands will dwarf the famous Tatu City project by far judging by the plan which was submitted to the National Environment Management Authority (Nema) late last year.
The city will cater for both middle class and those at the top of the social hierarchy. Residential houses, town houses, malls, hotels, clubhouse and all sort of luxuries found in any modern city will be in Northlands.
A Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) report for Northlands project indicates that the different zones will support a population of 250,000 people.
The City’s proximity to Nairobi (15 km from CBD) is said to be an added advantage that will attract many to invest or settled there.
So how much has the Kenyatta family invested in Northlands? The cost of the project hasn’t been revealed but since it’s bigger than Tatu City which is estimated to cost Kes 240 billion, you can only assume the figure for Northlands to be bigger than kes 240 billion.
