President jokes about Post-Election Violence and Kenyans can’t take it. Look at how they attacked him

In what may seem like utter contempt and jeering, President Uhuru has jokingly commented about Post Election Violence.
In the less than a minute video, Uhuru is captured making joking remarks about Post elections violence even busting into fits of laughter, from the mention of the word alone.

According to the United Nations on Human Rights, (UNHR) over 1,200 Kenyans were reported killed within a span of 59 days, thousands more injured, over 300,000 people displaced and around 42,000 houses and many businesses were looted or destroyed.

So why then would President Uhuru Kenyatta who himself was actually a suspect in the post-election violence, and even charged at the International Criminal Court (ICC), but later acquitted for lack of evidence made such remarks which many would consider an abomination?

Uhuru was speaking at the 2nd Annual Diplomatic Forum, organised by the Diplomatic Corps in Uganda.  another country which has also had its share of post election violence.

Uhuru however was not making jokes about Kenya PEV (Phew!) but rather post-election violence in the United States of America.

President Uhuru Kenyatta jokingly asked ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to look into protests that have followed Donald Trump’s election as US President.
Uhuru said before busting into laughter.

Demonstrators have been marching in cities across the United States to protest against Republican Trump’s surprise election win.

During his campaign, Donald Trump made disparaging campaign rhetoric about immigrants, Muslims and other minority groups, Trump even called Mexicans ‘rapists’ and vowed to build a wall on US-Mexico border to keep Mexicans out of the USA.
Uhuru remarks would however pass as a simple banter! because USA is not even a signatory to the ICC in the first place.
