Poll: Mohammed Ali Leads The Race For Nyali Parliamentary Seat With a Clear Margin Ahead of Even Joho’s Very Own brother Saidoo Abdallah
If voters in Nyali were to go to the ballot today, then they would have elected Jicho Pevu’s Mohammed Ali as their MP.
Mohammed Ali opened up about his political ambitions sometimes in December last year.
Moha who is rumored to be Raila Odinga’s favorite candidate for Nyali parliamentary seat, is the candidate to beat, according to the results of an opinion poll conducted by an independent market research and a consulting firm in Mombasa.
Moha is popular among typical residents but some Mombasa tycoons and drug dealers reportedly don’t want him to be the next MP leave alone bagging ODM nomination ticket.
His reputation to expose people on Jicho Pevu has made him the enemy of drug barons who are responsible for drug menace at the Coast.
The results of the poll show Mohammed Ali enjoys a 5% lead on his closest competitor, Yassir Noor. The poll was conducted in all constituencies in Mombasa to assess the popularity of candidates vying for parliamentary seats in the 6 constituencies in Mombasa County.
