Photo Gallery: Boniface Mwangi Takes the Mavulture Grafitti to Netherlands

Yesterday, photojournalist and activist, Boniface Mwangi, was handed his award and prize money as one of the 2012 laureates of the Prince Claus Fund. He was one of the 10 receipients from around the world who were set to get their awards this month after being announced last September.

Together with grafitti artist, Swift, he travelled to Amsterdam last December where he they spray-painted the mural that has brought him so much fame and trouble at Dam Square. He was recognized for his efforts as a social mobilizer and for his work on highlighting the darkest moments of the 2008 post election violence.
