One FM Set to Explosively Bring Back African Dance Culture to the City

One FM is bringing back the dance era to the 254. A non-stop dance experience from the moment you walk in to the time you leave. It’s called the ‘African Dance Party’.

The date is Thursday 5th July 2012 from 7.00pm at Club Sylk along Kimathi street in downtown Nairobi.

African dance party is centered on appreciating urban African music and dance. Since 1FM’s explosion into the Kenyan radio scene, there has been a music renaissance. Today, more young people appreciate Kenyan and African music.

Dance goes hand in hand with music and the danc eparty presents the youth with a platform to enjoy great music, show their talent, be discovered and have fun. The MCs on the night will be 1FM presenters Tina Kaggia, Adelle Onyango, Marcus Olang and Bamzigi!

There will be dance battles for both amateurs and professionals, all for a cash prize of Kshs. 20,000. The 2011 Malta Guiness Challenge winners Wapi Wapi dance crew will be at the Africa Dance Party so this is one event you definitely don’t want to miss out on!

The official DJs on the night will be DJ Wesley, DJ 212 and DJ Young, with the best selection of African music
