No white gown, no fancy suit! This couple didn’t spend a coin on their wedding yet they received FREE media attention that million shilling weddings pay for (Photos)

The idea that a bride and a groom must spend thousands or millions of shillings on their wedding has been flashed down the drain by a couple who tied the knot in a very simple wedding.

An ideal wedding has bridesmaids and groomsmen, five layer cake, a church filled with important guests and most importantly the groom wears a fancy suit while the bride rocks a white gown with a veil.

Kenya’s simplest wedding has stunned many on social media as it broke the traditional way in which weddings subscribed to.

Pastor Jasper Ojwach of Community Christian Worship Centre in Kasarani officiated a simple wedding between 24-year-old Ann Wambui and 26-year-old Wilson Mutura.

The couple who are from a humble background, exchanged vows in a ceremony officiated by their local pastor and attended by not more five people; the only attendees were the pastor, a witness and the couple themselves.

The couple attended their wedding while rocking casual clothes; it’s reported that they also didn’t spend a coin on their wedding.

Photos of the newlywed lovebirds went viral on Facebook as several people shared their pictures after they were stunned by the couple’s simple wedding. See photos below:
