My Father Sent Police Officers to Arrest me During my First Show- Davido

Davido says his father got angry with him for leaving school to do music.

Nigerian pop music sensation, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has again, spoken on the reception he got from his father, when he decided to do music. This was in an interview with The Breakfast Club, where he also spoke on some other issues.

According to him, his father got angry because he left school for music. He however, sent fifty police officers to get him arrested, during his first show. Though he was able to escape by scaling the fence, his crew members and his girlfriend were arrested. His father, however, didn’t stop there as he threatened to send them all to jail if he didn’t show up. He therefore did as he was instructed and his friends were released, he said.
