Our Man Crush Patronizes Made in Nigeria

It’s a beautiful Monday morning and we are taking a moment to crush on Nollywood’s finest uncle.

Our Man crush this week is Nollywood’s finest grandpa, uncle Richard Mofe Damijo.

Just yesterday, he took his time to speak strongly for Made in Nigeria Goods and appreciate a certain Abuja based fashion  designer.

Ok so you all know how I feel about made in Nigeria and how i love to share once i find an inspiring story. Well here is one. VODI…. an Abuja based fashion designer that has become all shades of whatever is good of this country and how there is hope yet despite the failings of many of us; Young and old. From just 3500 naira some years ago after his nysc he has built a fashion empire that I hear is one of the biggest in Nigeria if not west Africa. He not only sells fabrics and trains people now he has a high end dry cleaning service. This is a true made in Nigeria entrepreneurial success story and i am proud to have been with this young man from way back when he was just starting out and my cousin Sly brought him to my hotel room to have an alternative to My Lagos designers he said at the time. The young man is still as humble as he was when I first met him only this time he speaks with a lot more passion and his vision to mass produce and manufacture fabrics and more in Nigeria and pass on his knowledge to as many young people that would come to his training school.
