Gay Rights Activist, Bisi Alimi Celebrates Son on his Birthday

Gay Rights Activist, Bisi Alimi is a proud dad.

Nigerian Gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi, yesterday, took to Instagram to celebrate his son who is now a year older.

Bisi is the first Nigerian to openly come out as gay which made him gain worldwide recognition. He fled the country following threats to his life after he came out openly as gay. He has not returned to the country since then as a result of Nigeria’s strict laws against homosexuals. He is at risk of serving a 14year jail term if he returns to the country; according to the laws Nigeria.

Bisi’s marriage to a Nigerian woman bore him son before he fled Nigeria.

He shared a picture of himself and his son with a birthday message. The picture suggests that they have a cordial relationship.

On the 5th of November 2016, Bisi got married to his current spouse, an English man in the United Kingdom.
