Nameless Going Lingala?

Who would ever imagine? While Nameless has a penchant of reinventing himself with new singing style we never guessed that he would be going the Lingala route.

He’s been in the industry for over a decade and a half and now wants to try something new. Well, it appears the veteran urban contemporary singer is pretty serious about doing a Lingala tune if his Facebook post is anything to go by.

He asked, “I’m thinking of doing a lingala song, which artist should I feature?”

While Lingala’s popularity may have dwindled on the African music scene over the years, Nameless may just make a testament that the genre is still on the list of Kenyans’ favourites. More so, after seeing Pitson’s Lingala Ya Yesu win the Song of the Year award.
