Nairobi Half Life Competes with the World’s Biggest Films at the Palm Springs Film Festival

Nairobi Half Life continues its journey through the festival circuit in 2013, this time with screenings at the Palm Springs Film Festival.

The first screening already took place on 5th December and the next one is tomorrow, 8th January at the Regal 9 at 11:00 a.m. The Saturday show was followed by a Q&A presented by actor Mugambi Nthiga who plays Cedric in the film.

The Palm Springs Film Festival boasts the biggest selection of the finest foreign language films of any festival in the world. NHL is one of 42 such films which will be considered for the FIPRESCI award, determined by a jury of international film critics. Nairobi Half Life battles it out with such acclaimed films as Amour, Kon-Tiki, The Intouchables, Pieta and A Royal Affair among others.

Some of the world’s biggest film stars gather at one of the most important stops for Academy Awards hopefuls.This year, the festival has so far hosted John Hawkes, Bradley Cooper, Naomi Watts, Richard Gere, Ben Affleck and Helen Hunt among others
