Nairobi Governor, Dr. Evans Kidero emerge victorious in Kayole land tussle.

Nairobi governor, Dr. Evans Kidero can afford to chest thump like a proud warrior! This is after the governor emerged victorious in a case pitting him against the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) in a land tussle in Kayole.  
The high court on Thurday, issued orders barring the defense forces from interfering with the building of the Mihango- Kayole road link in Embakasi, Nairobi.
In his orders, Judge George Odunga prohibited KDF from digging a trench across the Mihango link road rendering it impassable and inaccessible.

Nairobi County through Dr. Kidero had taken the government to court for allegedly encroaching and later on grabbing its piece of land located in Kayole.
The county government of Nairobi claims it bought the . In the nineties the army invaded it and took 3,000 acres without due recourse to any compensation and last month blocked the remaining 2,000 acres that passed through the road.
In their papers, the county government argued, the chief of defense forces, Samson Mwathethe and Cabinet secretary of defense, Rachel Omamo have “unilaterally, illegally and in utter display of abuse of power and deploying its officers along the road link to bar the county government from repairing it.  
Dr. Kidero has expressed delight following the court ruling.
