Na hii urembo yote alikua analala njaa! Sultry singer Vivian opens up about her life hustling in the streets of Nairobi before she shot to limelight
Started from the bottom … She’s currently one of the most successful female musicians in Kenya. But before she got there, life wasn’t so smooth to her.
Vivian riding high on her new mega hit ‘Charm’ featuring Jose Chameleone; she is dominating the airwaves in East Africa.
The songstress recently opened up about her life as hustler; she was celebrating her sister’s graduation when she reminisced about their lives as hustlers. Vivian revealed she used to sell sim cards in the streets of Nairobi.
“I graduated!!!!!!!! That’s not me. That’s my sister Nancy. We’ve grown up almost as twin sisters so we fight often Nancy has really supported me especially when I was younger. She cared for me when I didn’t have a job. I remember when I used to hustle in promotion jobs, selling sim cards and products in the streets. Days when I would walk from the CBD to home in Eastlands and surviving on almost no meals on some days. Despite Nancy working in odd jobs all the while as she pursued her degree in medicine in Germany she managed to pay my school fees. Praise be to the Almighty for how far he has brought us! Help me wish my lovely sister a Happy Birthday! God Bless you! I love you so much!” Vivian wrote.
