She describes herself as a singer, rapper, Ms Boss Lady and a Spiritual voyager but one thing is certain, Muthoni the Drummer Queen has certainly curved her niche as the queen of the unique blend of music that she calls Afro-Electro: an edgy mix of loud African drums & rhythmic patterns with Hip-Hop/Rap, Electronic/Dance, RnB, Soft Rock, Floe-try & Other experimental sounds creating an intoxicating fusion of sounds.

Anyhow, to celebrate Kenya at 50, MDQ wants you to be totally knocked out. To do that, she needed some help on this one, so she teamed up with Kenyan HipHop DJ and host of the HipHop Culture weekly radio show, DJ Finalkut aka Fingertips za Razor Blades, to salute Kenya, and in turn Kenyan fans.

So, 8 weeks ago, she stepped into the ring to represent the 254, and in what will hopefully go down as the hip-hop transformation of the year, the famous 254 army (Jeshi 254, KOT & TeamKE) have held down the Red, Black and Green corners to ensure MDQ delivers a T.K.O (Total Knock Out).
