Music Legend Prince Dies.. Here Is How The World Mourns (Photos)

Legendary singer Prince Rogers Nelson known simply as Prince passed on yesterday.

The singer was found unresponsive in his Paisely Park home in Minneapolis. The cause of his death is yet to be established though he had been spotted looking frail and week a few days before his death and six days earlier he had been treated for a drug overdose while his representatives say he had been battling flu. 

The iconic singer had created a unique style of music blending elements of rock, RnB, Soul and Hip hop that would endear him to the world for the whole of his music career spanning 4 decades and which saw him sell over 100 million records.

He had more than 40 albums and inspired many present musical acts with his voice, production, fashion and lifestyle. Barack Obama joined world personalities in sending their tributes and paying last respects to what they described as a revolutionary, creative spirit and one of the best performers. many world known personalities.

To celebrate his passing, many landmarks in the US and Europe were lit purple after his classic song, Purple Rain for which the singer was defined.
