Murkomen and Farouk Kibet asked to write submissions on the NYS Corruption allegations.

Elgeyo- Marakwet senator, Hon Kipchumba Murkomen and deputy president personal assistant, Farouk Kibet have been asked to write submissions explaining their side of the story in the NYS scandal.
The two have been adversely mentioned by former devolution cabinet secretary, Ms. Anne Waiguru as having been involved in the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal where they lobbied for released of NYS supplier’s funds.
The house committee has written to the two government officials to write submissions on Ms Waiguru’s allegations for the house committee to scrutinize.
 
Rarieda MP, Nicholas Gumbo who heads the committee told a news conference a decision whether the two will appear before the team will be made after they scrutinize their memoranda.
” he said as reported by Capital FM.
During a grilling session early this month, the former devolution secretary, linked Murkomen and Farouk as having  been involved in the swindling of the public funds.
Waiguru claimed that the Elgeyo Marakwet senator visited her office and former Principal Secretary Peter Mangiti to lobby for the release of the money held in the frozen accounts of his clients doing business with the NYS.
Both Murkomen and Farouk deny any involvement in the NYS scam, The senator over the weekend accused  Waiguru of shifting blames while the deputy president went on a public forum and dismissed Ms. Waiguru has a joker who should carry her own cross.
