MPs, Clergy And Mourners Scamper For Safety As Rowdy Kogallo Fans Storm The Funeral Of Citizen TV Actor And Seize The Coffin (Photos)

Drama happened during the funeral service of fallen Citizen TV anchor as disorderly Gor Mahia fans hijacked the event and caused fracas.

Inspekta Mwala’s Aggrey Okello aka Bokello was last Saturday laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kisumu.

But even before Bokello was buried, Gor Mahia fans, who were in Kisumu to watch the KPL champions clash with Sony Sugar, stormed the event and conducted a ritual that even shocked Luo elders.

Kogallo enthusiasts took over the funeral proceeding from the clergy who they accused of sidelining them.

They carried the deceased’s coffin and marched with it around a school compound chanting Luo words. Kisumu Senator, Anyang’ Nyongo, Kabondo Kasipul MP, Silvance Osele and his Nyando counterpart, Fred Outa, were whisked away after the scene turned chaotic.

The fans returned the coffin to Bokello’s family after they were done conducting their bizarre rite and headed to Kisumu City to watch Gor Mahia’s game.
