Move On Jared Otieno, This Man Caleb Hamisi Brought Eldoret To A Standstill With 60 Fuel Guzzlers….He Spent a Whooping 13 Million

Women may be dominating the wedding game and getting all the accolades on this day but men, scratch that, rich men have found their niche in the engagement and dowry paying ceremonies.

After Jared Otieno famously brought the whole of Meru County to a standstill while going to pay for his lady’s dowry, another wealthy fellow has pulled the same stunt. Caleb Hamisi a business man cum political aspirant with interests ranging from farming and real estate to hospitality and logistics brought Eldoret town and the small village of Kurgung’ in Nandi County to a standstill with his entourage and mammoth of a bash.

Mr. Hamisi apparently spent 13 million for the bash that saw him travel with a 300 strong party for the dowry negotiation ceremony. He booked his guests in five of the top hotels in Eldoret town footing a bill that was close to 2 million bed and breakfast alone for his party. 

His expenditure included 2 milion a token for the parents, footing entertainers like Webuye International band, a pre-wedding party at Eldoret’s Club signature, gifts for the lady, her friends and extended family members among others. Hamisi reacted to the cost as a success for the event and now has set eyes for the main wedding which will sure have fireworks.
