Money is chasing after him! Top flight European football club join race to sign Kenya’s most potent striker Michael Olunga
Michael Olunga has played for IF Djurgarden for only one year but the impact he has made at the Swedish club has drawn the attention of top flight European clubs.
The 22 year-old managed to score 12 goals for his club last season and his impressive form has now attracted interest from European and Asia clubs.
Sport Express reports that Russian giant CSKA Moscow has joined the race to sign the flourishing Kenyan striker.
Apparently CSKA Moscow is competing for Olunga alongside unnamed club from Turkey which is said to have a head start in the bid for the Kenyan striker.
Chinese club Guishou Zhicheng FC is also reported to have made bid for Olunga. Asian clubs are known to spend hefty sum of money on players’ salaries to lure them from European clubs.
“We know there is a great interest for Michael (Olunga). I would not comment anything right now,” Djurgardens sporting director Bosse Andersson was quoted by Goal.com
