Meet Sir Sam,A Comic,An Actor,A Gospel Artiste…All Rolled Into One,For God And For Mankind (Video)
It’s not easy juggling two facets of an entertainment career- and pulling it off seamlessly. But for Sam Machang’a Njuhi,popularly known as Sir Sam in the Gospel circles,that’s really not something too tough for him to pull off.
Born in 1990,Sir Sam seems to have come of age. On stage,he’s the indestructible comic who makes audiences fall over with laughter performing his very hilarious Kikuyu comedy routine,an act that has won him thousands of diehard fans across Central Kenya and Nairobi too.
And then he wears another hat – that of a Gospel singer. A hat he wears with the flawless perfection of a born-again man of God.
A devout Christian,Sir Sam is a member of Uhai Centre Church in Kiambu from where the music bug bit him,around 2013.
”I always knew that I was called to minister. In one way or another… I had been doing comedy for the longest time. Ever since high school. But music still was in my heart. And around 2013,that’s when I took it up seriously…. ” Sir Sam says.
An accomplished singer and vocalist,who also doubles up as a voice actor, Sam has released a number of singles but it’s his latest song Lord You Reign that has been causing a huge buzz across the region.
A perfect blend of Reggae and worship tunes,Sir Sam collaborated with fellow singer Rizanael Ogonyo (a student at Technical University) to bring you the refreshing song that praises God and extols His wonderful nature.
The song,which was recorded by Nixon of Mega Records,already has a video that was shot in a beautiful resort along Thika Road,by Sam Mwangi,the esteemed video director at Kaladimage Productions.
