She left the land of milk and honey to settle in Uasin Gishu County where she’s wowing local residents with her adorable work!

In 2011, ‘We Are the World Missionary’ was birth through Shirley Watts, a born again Christian who has dream of becoming a Global Missionary since the age of 6. Transitioning from her comfort zone working as a Federal Fire Inspector for many years, God released her via retirement to travel the world as a Global Missionary.

Shirley has an Office Administration Degree from Alabama State University.   She graduated and holds the highest level of Fire Inspector Certifications offer in the world from the State of Indiana Public Safety Training Institute Crane Indiana. May 2012 she graduated from Institute for Global Ministry, Globe International.

She retired from the Federal Government as the first black female Fire Inspector in Southeast of USA. During her Career, she also worked and lived in Germany and Japan. She has accompanied her husband on job assignments to Italy, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

Shirley is a member of Cross Faith Church where Pastor Rob and Gina Hines is her Pastors and Spiritual Coverings. There she serves on the Mission Team. She also has a Partnership with Pastor Jason Lee (USA). She recently launched a ministry dubbed “We are the world worshipers” currently being directed by Zed Ben famously hailed as ZB, a recording and performing artist, a song writer and a saxophonist known for his hit song ‘Panguza Macho’.

Shirley serves on Praying Pelican Help Rebuild Haiti Team sharing her gifts of construction and code enforcement. God has given her a loving and caring heart to serve and help the poor, homeless, help prisoners and those at wit ends.

Shirley’s slogan is ‘God Meant It for My Good’.   After enduring a brief health challenge, she knows God performed a Miracle in her life and saved her for a divine purpose.   She is a firm believer this is her Season to serve as a “We Are the World Missionary”.

Presently, ‘We Are the World Missionary’ is home-based in Eldoret, Kenya where she serves as God humble servant obeying his wonderful Great Commission throughout all of East Africa.

Shirley is the darling of the needy in Eldoret. She has no regrets leaving the comforts of her home in US to settle in Kenya.
