Meet Patrick Munene,The Emerging King Of Kirinyaga County Quickly Taking Over The World Of Gospel Music And Comedy
He grew up in the cold valleys of Kirinyaga County – a young man facing a myriad of struggles but still steadfast,still strong and still unbowed,refusing to let his predicament hamper his dreams and stand in the way of his aspirations.
When he was just four,little Patrick Munene lost his father. And life took the dreaded turn – the turn for the worst.
Without a father around,Munene would face insurmountable hardships- an arduous journey of growth and schooling supported only by his mother who was then a farmer,making meagre profits but determined to put her son through school.

The patience paid off and now,Munene can stand on his own as a remarkable Gospel singer and composer who actually did his first ever recording back in 2009.
The song,titled Aliyenitangulia was actually composed in 2002 – some seven years earlier – at a time when Munene was growing through much hardship and was at his lowest point in life,dejected and confused,crashed and hopeless.
But for lack of finances,Munene couldn’t record the song until 2009 when,after receiving a small loan from a friend,he decided to hit the studio and record his song.
It was an instant favorite with fans allover.
However,the song didn’t meet the expected quality required for TV airplay and therefore,getting it to have heavy airplay across the TV networks proved to be yet another challenge. But Munene remained undaunted. And swore to soldier on. And on.
That same year,still operating on a tight budget,Munene would release his debut album Sauti Fulani to wide critical acclaim from music lovers and fans alike. The production quality didn’t seem to matter to people anymore… A brilliant voice was born,and people seemed to have blown away.
Six years later,Munene would drop his second album titled Hannah in 2015 and in it,he included a remixed version of his debut hit Aliyenitangulia with much better audio and video quality.
And even that album sold like hot cakes,winning him a whole new fan base and creating in him a rock – a formidable force to reckon with in the world of Gospel Music.
Munene seems to have no way to stop. Despite having a busy schedule performing and recording his third album,making appearances at numerous venues to stage sold out shows, Munene also finds time to tend to the flock as a Preacher after he attended classes at the NBPC College where he pursued a degree in Theology.
Besides singing,Munene is also an actor and a MC and gets regularly invited to preside over events,weddings and social functions across Central Kenya.
