Man Who Murdered Prominent NTV News Reporter Set To Face Trial 5 Years Later
While alive, the former NTV reporter was quite adept at covering different news. She never lived to see when she herself would be a leading story.
This is because, when this happened, Sarah Wambui Kabiru was dead, murdered at her home and the main suspect was her husband. This was back in May 1 2011. Her husband, Mr. Moses Dola Otieno was himself a journalist with Daily Nation. Finally after five years and several complications, the court has ruled that he has a case to answer.
Yesterday, Lady Justice Korir Roseline ruled that the prosecution had built a strong case against him and he had to answer to it. Sarah had been found dead at her bed by her brother and neighbors locked in her bedroom and neatly covered.
It was established she had been hit by a blunt object. Her husband had left the house and gone on a drinking spree and later ran to Naivasha before surrendering himself to police. He will begin defending himself on June 29th.
