Maina and King’ang’i In The Morning: With The Latest Shebesh/Sonko Drama, Should A Woman Turn Down Gifts If She’s Married?

Yesterday, it was revealed that Sonko and Shebesh were allegedly caught up in some gun drama in which bodyguards of one or the other fired shots into the air. Why? Because of a Rang Rover car that Sonko had allegedly procured on behalf of Shebesh as a gift which he never finished paying for. And the problem comes in the form of the minute issue that both are “happily” married.

And today, Maina and King’ang’i want to know what you think over whether or not there is a problem with a woman receiving gifts from her friends and colleagues who happen to be male. King’ang’i seems to believe there is and I can’t help but agree with him. How can my woman accept a gift I cannot afford? For what? Especially because men and women can never maintain a strictly platonic relationship! For what? From who?

And yet in all this, the pain and humiliation Shebesh’ husband is feeling gets drowned out as we laugh at the bizarre circumstances surrounding this mess!
