Lupita Nyong’o Nominated For Yet Another Award Days After Winning Her First Hollywood Award

Kenyan actress and filmmaker, Lupita Nyong’o, seems unstoppable as she heads for the stars. Just three days after bagging her first Hollwood film award, the 30 year old has been nominated for yet another prestigious award.

The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), the nation’s oldest and largest organization of independent filmmakers, announced the nominees for the Gotham Independent Film Awards, Thursday morning, via Twitter, signaling the kick-off to the film awards season, reports Indie Wire.

Awards categories include Best Feature, Best Documentary, Breakthrough Director, Breakthrough Actor, Best Actor, and Best Actress amongst others.

Lupita will face it off with Michael B. Jordan for the Breakthrough Actor category award, for their performances in 12 Years A Slave and Fruitvale Station.

The Gotham Awards ceremony will be held on December 2nd at Cipriani Wall Street, and will be streamed live at IFP.org.
