Lupita Nyong’o Comes Out In A Strong Show Of Support For Homosexuals In Uganda

Lupita Nyong’o is one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood and that is after her spectacular display on 12 Years A Slave. And inspite of my well informed guess, she took home an Oscar -an unprecedented feat by the way. But over the weekend, she was at the 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards took place in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

First off, for those of you who do not know, GLAAD stands for Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and is a U.S. non-governmental media monitoring organization which promotes the image of LGBT people in the media.
That means that by showing up, Lupita Nyong’o is taking a huge and influential stand for human rights! She also got to unveil a documentary on homosexuals in Uganda, a documentary called “Call Me Kuchu“.

Check her out at the gala below:

And just so you know (well, if I didn’t inform you then this would be a wasted article would it?) she won an award. Our girl (yes, i too happen to be Kenyan) presented an award.
