Looking For Investment in Your Film, Media, Online or Music Business? This Might Be Your Gateway
This year’s Broadcast Film & Music Africa Conference which is set for the 10th to 11th of July 2012 will include the first African Media Business Exchange to provide a platform for African media start-ups to pitch their business ideas and opportunities to Venture Capitalists (VCs) and other potential investors.
This event is organized by AITEC Africa in partnership with Africa’s premier Film Business Magazine: Film Biz Africa. The Exchange is a unique opportunity to kick-start the continent’s emerging convergence of mass media across all diverse sectors which include film, broadcast media, music, online media, mobile media and more.
Over five international and regional VCs have confirmed participation and will meet with developers, innovators and start-ups with business ideas that need financial backing. These VCs include InvesteQ Capital, Media Ventures Fund, 88 mph, Speed Capital, In Return Capital and the Acumen Fund.
The format of this event will be a one-to-one fifteen minutes face-to-face meeting with each of the VCs to pitch concepts and business plans and clinch deals.
The sign-up fee for start-ups or Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in groups of 3 who want to present their investment proposition is Ksh10,000/$120. or Ksh 5,000/$60 for individual participants who wish to pitch their business concepts and secure funding.
This fee also includes free delegate registration, free conference kits, free parking and free access to AITEC Conference presentation and Seminars during the two days event.
The Broadcast Film and Music Africa Exhibition is however free for delegates.
