Legendary Dancer Does Kamba House Song. And He’s Good
Legendary Kenyan dancer, Boneless, made a stab at music last year. His very first effort saw him nominated for a Kisima Award in the Urban Music category. And now he is back with another hit.
Supasta is the follow-up to last year’s Kusunga. The mellow track features Inami on the chorus. Like Kusunga, Supasta is done in Kamba, and on House beats, it sounds much like a Kwaito track. Boneless is a natural as a House music artiste unlike a lot of artistes who have tried it because of the changing music landscape.
Boneless says, “Supasta is all about realizing the potential within yourself, recognizing that you were born a superstar and that all you need to do is realize it. It’s up to us to discover what we can be great at and pursue the dream.” In his opinion, this is the purpose of life.
Not sure if Kusunga got the airplay it deserved but for it have gotten a Kisima nomination means it might have been heard in the right places. I hope Supasta does, too. Check out Boneless’ sophomore effort below.
