Leading Deep House DJ Coming to Kenya for Buckaroo Festival
One of the world’s leading deep house music producers and DJs, Charl Chaka will be in the country towards the end of this week for the 2012 edition of the ‘Journey to Eden’. The festival primarily celebrates the love for Electronic Dance Music as well as embracing it’s core ethic: a Peace, Love, Unity and Respect culture.
This year the festival will be celebrating the beauty and architectural scenery in Nairobi by night and by day as indicated in its theme: ‘EMERGE+N+SEE NRBI’
The Buckaroo Festival, which is an annual two-day kite festival where kite flying is appreciated as a form of art & leisure activity, is the first event in the 6-month ‘Journey to Eden’ feature.
The Kenya Forset Service on Kiambu Road has been selected as the venue because organizers say it will help them execute the themed festival over the two days with ease.
‘As our tradition dictates we will be offering you a little more to bargain for with a complete festive package designed to ensure that you have a vivid festive experience. One of our main attractions will be kite displays housed in our distinct dance floor set ups; “Colored Flight” by night & the customized ” Kite Museum” by day,’ say the organizers.
The night will be equipped by state of the art sounds, lighting and mind blowing visuals all in an attempt to appreciate the new age hippie culture.
