KTN’s Mohammed Ali ‘Shot’ On Twitter

It seems the ‘killing’ bug that’s been doing its rounds on Twitter has finally caught up with Kenya, after Kenyans on Twitter (otherwise known as #KOT) ‘shot’ KTN investigative reporter Mohammed Ali over the past weekend.

This is not the first time a celebrity has been ‘killed’ on the global social network that is Twitter. We’ve seen tweets and rumours of other established international artistes such as Chris Brown, Drake, Nicki Minaj and even Lady Gaga reportedly ‘dying’ but all these have been dismissed as seemingly malicious rumours as each came out to say they were alive and well.

Right here in Kenya, we even ‘killed’ Nyota Ndogo earlier this year, but news that Mohammed Ali had been ‘shot’ over the weekend spread like wild fire on social networks. The reporter was shocked by the rumours and came out tweeting:

‘Im alive plz stop spreading those rumours that i have been killed. I know nobody is safe now after the expose. Ur prayers matters alot.’

He concluded then that probably someone was meddling with his account, going on to state:

‘Somebody somewhere is playing around with my account on twitter. Its the system, Kindly ignore.’
