KTN’s Mohammed Ali Accused of Mobile Phone Theft
KTN and Jicho Pevu’s Mohammed Ali is in court over accusations that he stole a Nokia 8800 which the court allegedly valued at approximately Kshs. 100,000.
This report comes just days after the media personality, famed by KTN’s popular investigative news feature Jicho Pevu, was crowned the ‘Journalist of the Year’ at the Media Council of Kenya’s inaugural journalism awards.
According to reports by Capital FM, he has been arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts, alongside seperate charges of handling stolen property. He is said to have had the phone mid last year, from an electronics shop along Nairobi’s Luthuli Avenue, but denied the charges, being freed on a cash bail of Kshs. 50,000.
