Kidero Grass Finally Wins An Award Redeeming The Governor’s Image

At the time of its launch, Kidero grass was the hallmark of the Counties’ poor planning and mis-advised projects.

Launched a few days to the visit of the POTUS, Barrack Obama, the Uhuru Highway Beautification project was trolled online and dismissed as a failure but as the late poet Jonathan Kariara wrote, ‘Grass will grow’.

The grass did grow and finally it stands out as one of the few physical structures that the Kidero government has done to the city. The magnificence of the project in its whole scale has seen it rewarded by none other than the Kenya Architectural Association winning the award for the Best Landscaping Project this year.

The project beat the likes of Machakos People’s Park for the present finally winning its critics.
