Kenyans on Twitter Lash Out at Former VP Kalonzo after he Dismissed a Reporter Because of His Name
This morning, the CORD coalition was releasing its audit of the performance of the Jubilee government at the Serena Hotel, Nairobi led by its leaders Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Anyang’ Nyong’o However, things a different turn when time came for journalists to field questions.
According to reports, Former VP Kalonzo Musyoka refused to answer Q TV’s reporter, Kennedy Muriithi’s question on the basis of his surname. Muriithi had sought to find out why the coalition was not giving solutions to what they had termed as Jubilee failures.This is how the conversation went;
Kalonzo: First of all I didn’t even get your name…
Reporter: Kennedy Muriithi
Musyoka: Thank you Kennedy Muriithi. That name betrays you too. Actually! Thank you! I have nothing else to say…
The former VP’s sentiments has sparked a fury among Kenyan who have taken to Twitter to vent their anger and express their dissatisfaction demanding an apology from the veteran politician.
Under the TT #SomeoneTellKalonzoMusyoka, fellow journalists and other KOT lashed out at Kalonzo for his statement.
