Kenyan Producers & Performers to Receive Sh11.8 Million

Who said music doesn’t pay? Today, the majority of music consumption today is generating a lot of money.

Today, the Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP) and Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK) have revealed that producers and performers are set to receive a whooping Ksh11.8 million from the year 2013.

According to a notice published on local dailies, the two body were notifying all producers of sound recordings and performers that they ere finalizing their distribution for amounts due for the year 2013.

“Kindly note that the total distribution amount owing to producers and performers for the year closing 31st December 2013 is KES 11,813,990.60/-”, read the notice.
